The Rhinos sent shock waves across the country yesterday by achieving a historic treble with a win over Wigan Warriors in front of a record crowd of more than 70,000 in Manchester.
It was a fairytale ending for Rhinos stalwarts Jamie Peacock, Kevin Sinfield and Kylie Leuluai, whose efforts on the pitch were their last in a Leeds jersey.

Hide AdThe trio prompted a standing ovation from supporters as they stepped on the pitch and were given the same treatment at the final whistle when they lifted the trophy.

Yorkshire and England cricket hero Joe Root took to Twitter and said: “What a grand final! Brutal and trilling 80 minutes of Rugby! Hats of to Wigan but take a bow @leedsrhinos #treblewinners! #GrandFinal
Triathlon star Alistair Brownlee said: “It’s grand final day. Make it the perfect end of an era @leedsrhinos.”
And his brother Jonny added: “TREBLE!!! CHAMPIONS!!! Well done @leedsrhinos (said that a lot this year!!)”
