Popular Leeds dog-friendly cafe Salami and Co in Otley to close down this summer
and live on Freeview channel 276
Husband and wife Simon and Lucy Ferro-Smith were inspired to open the venture in 2016 after struggling to find cafes which accommodated their dachshunds, Salami and Bagel.
Dogs can enjoy specially made food, ranging from ‘puppuccino’ to ‘pupcakes’, dog doughnuts and venison sausages, as their owners tuck into food and drink of their own.

Hide AdIn a Facebook post, the couple wrote: "It is with sadness that at the end of June 2021 we will be closing our door for the last time.
"It’s not been an easy decision to make, but by having extra time (over numerous lockdowns), many things have been put into perspective for us.
"The simple fact is we’ve come to a point in our lease where we’ve had to make a decision whether to stay or not.
"We could remain in the same building for another five years, but due to our popularity we believe we’ve outgrown the property.

Hide Ad"We don’t feel we could continue providing a high level of service in such a small space, especially as things begin to go back to normal."
The pair said moving to a larger premises was unfeasible and risky.
They added: "We will of course continue to provide the same happy, quality service until the end of June and are still hoping to welcome you back through our door for our final few weeks, when regulations allow.
"You guys have been with us through thick and thin for almost five years and we just wanted to thank you. We simply couldn’t have done it without the love and support you have shown us, for which we are truly grateful."
