It is expected that Mr Johnson will confirm that England can press ahead with the next phase out of lockdown from May 17, which allows more freedoms both in and outdoors.

Sadly, these bars and restaurants in Leeds will not be reopening after announcing closures in 2020 and 2021.
1. Pizza Express
Pizza Express closed the Corn Exchange restaurant on Crown Street and the Horsforth Town Street site in 2020. It part of a nationwide strategy which saw 73 sites permanently shut.
2. Bad Apples
Bad Apples announced it was closing in July 2020 after eight years. It was a firm favourite with rock and metal fans in Leeds.
3. LIVIN'Italy Dough House
LIVIN'Italy announced that it was closing its second site in Cloth Hall Street in May 2021. The LIVIN'Italy Dough House had been hugely popular for its tapas style Italian street food and bottomless pizza deals.
4. Arts Cafe
After 25 years of trading in Leeds city centre on Call lane, this popular cafe - which was a much loved spot for lunch or a weekend brunch - closed its doors for good in February. JAMROCK UK has taken over the premises.
5. Ask Italian
A total of 75 Ask Italian restaurants closed permanently due to the pandemic in 2020. The Leeds restaurant is no longer listed on the website. Photo: Ask Italian
