After the great autumn weather over the last few weeks, a Saturday morning fixture in Huddersfield saw a turn for the worse.

Icy wind and rain throughout most of the match didn't spoil the quality of football played by the Horsforth Girls, with a really great team performance.

Grace started the game off well with two well taken goals to put us in complete control.  Our standard of defending, through Molly, Emily and Lucy was superb, never looking to be in any trouble and passing the ball through the midfield.

Charlotte and Erica won absolutely everything in midfield with good surging runs from Erica and the usual tenacious display of tackling and passing from Charlotte.  Rachel controlled, passed and dribbled with the ball with great confidence and Victoria was so unlucky not to score with strong running at the West End defence.

It looked like Ellie wouldn't score for a change but after Grace had completed her hat-trick Ellie popped up to keep herself ahead of Grace in the goal-scoring charts.

Lucy moved into midfield at the end of the game and finished a great display with an excellent goal, driven in from the edge of the area.
