With an undeserved 1-0 defeat the previous week against Thackley, Horsforth were determined to collect some points from this challenging home fixture.

A toss of a coin favoured the opposition and saw Horsforth facing uphill for the first half.

Undeterred by the lay of the land Horsforth battled well and Sam Feltham sneaked the ball across the line around the five minute mark to give the underdogs the lead.

The remainder of the first half went Queensbury's way and the visitors were 2-1 up by the half-time whistle.

After an uplifting tactical briefing by the Horsforth coaches the Twisters were ready for a second half battle with gravity on their side.

An outstanding finish by Kynan Wrigglesworth clawed the home side level only to be undone minutes later by the visitor's third goal.

Not wishing to taste the disappointment of defeat, the Twisters battled ferociously and Jacob "the terrier" Sidebottom found the net, due to some great teamwork, to see the scores level once more.

Liam Asquith was delighted to be awarded spectators' man of the match and with the final score 3-3 both teams collected a well deserved point.
