Horsforth Morrisons: 100 job to be created
An extra 100 new jobs are set to be created at Morrisons in Horsforth thanks to a major revamp.
The store on Town Street is undergoing multi-million pound work which will add nearly 10,000 square ft of shopping space.
Work will be completed early next year when around 100 jobs will be created.
Facilities will include a brand new butchers, bigger fishmongers, new and improved café, deli, and extra car parking.
Customers will also benefit from a greater variety of groceries, a larger selection of wines and spirits and more choice in most products.
A variety of new roles will be created by the expansion, with new jobs for specialists like fishmongers and butchers.
Store general manager, Dougie Notman, said: "We're really excited about the extension and a fresh look for the store. The creation of 100 new jobs will be greatly appreciated in the area."
The larger shopping area will also provide room for wider aisles which, combined with extra disabled parking, will improve access.
