A Horsforth finance manager has worked his magic once again after bagging top prize in a compeition - for the second year running.
Alex Moffat has won the Leicester Magic Circle Close-Up Magic Competition 2008 for the Roy Johnson Trophy.

The 30-year-old was one of six competitors who battled it out to win the accolade.

Alex mainly performs card tricks and sleight of hand with everyday objects such as coins and spoons.

He said: "Again there were six competitors of as high a standard such as last year, with a magical judge and a lay judge, different from last year, who both unanimously voted me again. The act was similar, however tweaked slightly to make it even stronger to ensure another win."

The Senior Financial Planning Manager who works in Leeds now hopes to enter more competitions as well as expanding his repertoire such as weddings, private functions and corporate events.

Last year Alex also came second in the International Brotherhood of Magicians British Ring close-up competition.
