Horsforth's Froebelian School welcomed a visit from American school teacher who attended their Spring Festival Concert.
Gina Miller, a teacher at Mount Vernon Community School in Alexandria, Virginia, was invited by the Froebelian School in Horsforth to attend their Spring Festival Concert.

She also spent the last morning of term with Form I / Y3 when they knew that she would be flying to England for a visit.

Children at Mount Vernon had been corresponding with the Year 3 pupils since October 2006.

Letters, Christmas Cards and gifts have been exchanged, as well as power point presentations and Form I/Y3 (and II/Y4 who started the link in 2006), were really excited that Gina had wanted to travel from America to see them.

Gina was very impressed by the children's talents in the Concert and spent her morning in school getting to know the children and joining in the School Assembly, showing them a power-point presentation from Mount Vernon and answering questions about the school.

Gifts were exchanged along with promises of future contact between the two schools.
