'The most pointless thing ever': Leeds man suffered punctured lung after being stabbed with a Rambo knife by rival in Middleton street attack

Harry Jackson used the "horrific weapon" to inflict serious injuries on his victim on Sissons Avenue, Middleton.
Moments after the attack, Jackson began weeping, cuddled his victim and said: "Don't die on me. I didn't mean it."

Hide AdThe victim suffered a punctured lung and broken ribs from the knife blow and had to spend five days in hospital.
Describing the attack to police, the victim said: "It was the most pointless thing ever."
Jackson was given an extended sentence after a report described him as posing a serious danger to members of the public.
The court heard there had been bad feeling between the two men which was related to a relationship between family members of both men.

Hide AdJackson, 20, spoke to the victim in the street before taking out the weapon from beneath his top.
The prosecutor described the weapon as a sharply pointed Rambo knife with a curved blade.
The victim said to the defendant: "If you are going to stick me over nothing Harry, get it done.."
Jackson struck the victim on the leg with the weapon but did not cause an injury.

Hide AdHe then stabbed him once to the back, below the shoulder blade, as the victim tried to defend himself.
The injured man said: "What have you done Harry? What have you done?"
Jackson then wept and cuddled the victim.
Jackson was heard to say: "Don't let him die. Ring an ambulance."
He was taken to hospital by ambulance and had to have fluid drained from his lung.
