In 1968 a man walking his dog stares into the lens of our camera as he strolls along Bradford Road at Tingley.

Another dog strains on the leash, this time at Chapel street and weightlifting and wrestling mecca The Old White Bear was photographed prior to its demolition to make way for a new road system in 1967.

Lumb’s off-licence was advertising Crystal Spring Medal Soft Drinks in 1968 and in 1983 Millan Stores and David Charles hairdressers were seen in this view down Bradford Road.
