Drink driving arrests increase significantly around the Christmas period.
Research from All Car Leasing has revealed the foods and portion sizes which can put you over the limit.
The following Christmas portions are ‘safe’:
Two portions of Christmas cake
Two portions of tiramisu
Three portions of sherry trifle
Five portions of Christmas pudding
Six glasses of eggnog
Seven slabs of brandy butter
20 boozy mince pies
30 boozy chocolates

The following boozy menu has a total alcohol consumption of 5.49 units meaning men would exceed the legal drive limit by 1.49 units and women by 2.49 units.

Main
Beer & rosemary roast turkey, glazed carrots, roast potatoes, pigs in blankets, brussels sprouts with red wine gravy - 1.9 units
Desert
Christmas cake served with brandy butter - 1.15 units

Glass of wine - 2.1 units
The Weather Channel has forecast snow showers in Leeds on Saturday, as temperatures are set to plummet.

A mix of snow and rain showers are forecast for Leeds on Saturday, according to the Weather Channel.
The forecast says: "A mix of rain and snow showers. High 4ºC. Winds NE at 5 to 10 mph. Chance of precipitation 50%."
Meanwhile the Met Office predicts freezing temperatures of -2C on Friday night.

Hide AdHowever, there is no mention of snow in Leeds on Saturday as the forecasters predict cloudy weather with outbreaks of rain.
The Met Office long-term forecast for Leeds says: "Wednesday morning cloudy with outbreaks of rain, clearing to sunshine and showers, wintry on hills.
"Thursday and Friday, cold and breezy, with frequent showers, wintry on higher ground."
