Unfortunately for Yarnbury, several influential second teamers were injured helping The Hornets to the top of Yorkshire 2 metit table and could not bolster the home side on Wednesday night and they were without Captain Wayne Butterfield in the back row and Andy Cowley utility back these days giving a carming influence to a youthful side.

Aireborough first team are currently laguishing in the bottom half of Yorkshire 3 presented a formidable test to The Hornets.

Honours were even for the first quarter of the game but infringements by Yarnbury into the wind gave Aireborough Stand Off Nick Holdsworth two easy penalties under the posts with a subsequent reply by Yarnbury Stand Off Joe Churnin.

Unfortunatley prop Adam Pike was sin binned 10 minutes before half time and this was the telling aspect as Yarnbury 14 men could not keep rampant Aireborough out and they scored three tries by Full back James Williams,Wing Chris Blackshaw and No8 Nathan Smith with Nick Holdsworth converting two to close the half.

The second half was won by Yarnbury with a superb individual try by centre Tom Cliffe converted by Joe Churnin to a last minute repost from Aireborough Stand Off Nich Holdsworth.

An entertaining match with a big local crowd and The Harley Davidson Clubnight at Yarnbury to add the extra's!
