THE Premier League has announced a series of actions to protect the game, clubs and fans from further disruption and uncertainty after the threat of the European Super League creation.

The Premier League s so called 'Big Six' recently declared that they were to join a new midweek spin off Super League as part of a founding European dozen.

Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool, Manchester City, Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur all announced that they were joining the new ESL but the news was met by widespread condemnation and protests amidst fury from fans.

The ESL subsequently collapsed within 48 hours of its formation but protests against the owners of the Big Six continue and Manchester United's Premier League clash against Liverpool at Old Trafford on Sunday was postponed due to the levels of protest against the club's Glazer family owners.
