Horsforth St Margaret’s strengthened their grip on the Supreme division top spot with a gutsy 3-2 win over second-placed Farsley Celtic Juniors.

A brace of goals from James Rubenson Burgess and a Sean Fitzpatrick penalty proved decisive as Saints opened a seven-point gap at the head of the standings.

That said, Farsley retain a game in hand on the leaders so still have plenty to play for.
