Horsforth's Yarnbury RFC held their 137th AGM at the clubhouse in Brownberrie Lane with their senior awards ceremony at the end of the proceedings.
Raymond Johnson in his president's review highlighted the difficulties finding fixtures for all their teams when they run 4 snior sides every week in the season.

Pitch drainage costs have been substantial in the last 12 months and are ongoing with so many senior and junior players using the Horsforth facilities.

Finance and sponsorship are also down because of the recession but club lets for Weddings and numerous social functions are still popular with the local community because of the spacious facilities offered by the large clubroom.

Yarnbury gained promotion to Yorkshire League 1 for the coming season after finishing fourth in the league.

Centre and Yorkshire U-20s centre/full back Jason Avison took the 'Player of the Season' scoring 22 tries including five in one match at Ripon in his senior debut season.

He also appeared for Yorkshire U-20s in all their games this season culminating in the county final at Twickernam.

Other awards play of the year awards went to Phil Davies (Hornets), third team back row Ian spink, Andy Hargreaves for the Nomads (4ths) and Chas Thompson for the veterans side.
